By incorporating a voluminous sole, the total heel height, including the insole, increases to 5.5cm.
While maintaining its dressy appearance, it further enhances your style.

2. The so-called marshmallow sole: a unique blend of softness for an even more fatigue-free pair.
The uniquely formulated EVA sole, developed through over a year of trial and error.
By mixing rubber and EVA, we repeated prototyping tests many times to allow users to feel the softness of rubber while taking advantage of the lightness of EVA.
It offers a soft and enveloping comfort, as if you're walking on marshmallows.
This pair is the culmination of our efforts, balancing the formal appearance of leather shoes with the marshmallow-like comfort, combining seemingly contradictory elements.

Leather shoes are too heavy to carry, but you want sneakers that look like leather shoes and can be worn in formal settings. This pair solves such dilemmas.
4. Special coating for all-weather use. Beautiful and comfortable every day.
By applying a coating to the leather surface itself, the shoes have been updated to be wearable even in light rain (Note: Although this product has a coated leather, it is not waterproof).
We collaborated with a Japanese tannery, which possesses excellent technical skills, to develop leather that can be worn with peace of mind every day and is easy to clean.
It's a reliable companion for daily wear and travel alike.
5. The artisan's touch in details that create beautiful feet
brightway features a simple design without logos.
This comes from the manufacturing philosophy that "truly beautiful products do not require ornamentation."
The ultimate minimalism, made possible by the quality of the materials and the skill of the artisans.
Around the ankle, invisible "backstitching" is used to achieve both a clean, beautiful line and comfortable wear.
It's a pair that, while simple, shines with details imbued with many years of history and craftsmanship.
6. Dedication to invisible details that create comfort
brightway shoes are characterized by a "soft, gentle embrace" the moment you put them on, and a firm hold around the heel.
The secret lies in the genuine leather core material, known as a "leather counter," used in the heel.
While many sneakers use resin or plastic materials, brightway uses genuine leather for all its models.
This core material is made from the lowest layer of cowhide, which would normally be discarded.
It is rare, costly, and requires time and skill to manufacture, so only a few factories in Japan can use it.
Through this traditional manufacturing method, which takes time to carefully craft, the shoes conform to your feet with each wear, creating a comfortable, blister-free fit.

Adhering to the philosophy cherished by its founder, brightway continues to honestly craft shoes today.
7. All parts are replaceable. Repair service for long-lasting enjoyment.
All parts of brightway sneakers are repairable and replaceable.
(Note: Repair and parts replacement are paid services.)
What's particularly noteworthy is that they offer complete sole replacement, which is rare for sneakers.
While many high-end sneakers do not support replacement of their original soles, brightway can restore them to like-new condition.
In addition, many key parts, including the cup insole, are replaceable.
This system is possible because all manufacturing processes are completed domestically, and our in-house craftsmen carefully craft each pair.

8. Domestic Materials and Local Manufacturing
brightway is made by us, International Shoes Inc., a leather shoe manufacturing factory in Osaka.
The founder is Mr. Giichi Ueda.
In 1954, our shoemaking began in a small workshop with two people.
For over half a century since then, we have supported the shoemaking of many women's shoe brands both domestically and internationally.
What we have cherished since our founding is "to honestly make good shoes."
Even after half a century, we still value crafting each pair meticulously to be loved for a long time.
Furthermore, at brightway, we procure materials produced in Japan as much as possible from visible producers.
Before starting manufacturing, we always visit the producers, listen to their thoughts, and share our vision before working together on production, as we value this approach.
Japanese materials and technology, to the next generation
The reason brightway is particular about domestic materials—
it is from our desire to once again deliver Japan's shoemaking culture and technology to the world.
Japan has a history of thoughtfulness, meticulous craftsmanship, and local manufacturing.
To preserve and accurately convey that value, we actively use materials produced in Japan.
While many factories have shifted to overseas production, brightway has chosen to continue shoemaking here in Osaka.
This is to pass on the techniques and spirit that our predecessors protected to the next generation.
Just like in Europe, where the philosophy and techniques of artisans are passed down from parent to child—
we aim to build such an ideal manufacturing haven here in Japan.
To create shoes that will be loved 10 years from now, and to be a brand that can be proud of 100 years from now.
Today, brightway continues to honestly dedicate itself to shoemaking.
