By incorporating a thicker sole, the heel height with the insole is increased to 5.5cm.
This allows for further style enhancement while maintaining a dressy appearance.

2. The so-called "marshmallow sole," with a unique soft compound for even greater comfort.
A uniquely formulated EVA sole created after over a year of trial and error.
By mixing rubber and EVA, we repeatedly conducted prototype tests to achieve the softness of rubber while utilizing the lightness of EVA.
It provides a gentle, enveloping soft feel, as if you're walking on marshmallows.
This is a masterpiece that balances the formality of leather shoes with the comfort of marshmallows, two seemingly contradictory elements.
3. As light as a cup of water. Lighten your packing for travel.
Significantly lighter than brightway's initial Giichi2 model.

Leather shoes can be heavy to carry, but you want a sneaker that looks like a leather shoe and can be worn in formal settings. This pair solves those problems.
4. Special coating for all-weather use. Beautiful and comfortable every day.
The surface leather itself is coated, making it updated for wear even in light rain (※This product's leather is coated, but it is not waterproof).
We co-developed this leather with a Japanese tannery (leather producer) with excellent technical capabilities, making it safe to wear daily and easy to clean.
It's a reliable companion for everyday wear and travel.
5. Artisanal details that create beautiful feet
brightway features a simple, logo-free design.
This was born from the manufacturing philosophy that "truly beautiful products require no adornment."
The ultimate minimalism, achieved precisely because of the quality of the materials and the skill of the artisans.
The ankle area features "reverse stitching" where seams are invisible, achieving both a clean, beautiful line and comfortable wear.
Despite its simplicity, it's a pair that shines with details, embodying years of history and craftsmanship throughout.
6. Unseen attention to detail for comfort
brightway shoes are characterized by a "soft, gentle embrace" the moment you put them on, and a firm heel hold.
The secret is the genuine leather counter used in the heel.
While many sneakers use resin or plastic materials, brightway uses genuine leather for all its models.
This core material is made from the lowest layer of cowhide, which would normally be discarded.
It is rare, costly, and requires time and skill to manufacture, so only a few factories in Japan can use it.
This traditional manufacturing method, carefully crafted over time, ensures that the shoes conform to your feet as you wear them, providing a comfortable fit without chafing.

7. All parts are replaceable. Repair services for long-lasting love.
brightway sneakers are designed so that all parts can be repaired and replaced.

What's particularly noteworthy is that they offer all-sole replacement, which is rare for sneakers.
While many high-end sneakers don't support genuine sole replacement, brightway can restore them to like-new condition.
In addition, many key parts, including cup insoles, are replaceable.
This system is possible because all manufacturing processes are completed in Japan, and our craftsmen carefully craft each pair.

8. Domestic materials and local manufacturing
brightway is made by us, International Shoes Co., Ltd., a leather shoe manufacturing factory in Osaka.
The founder was Mr. Giichi Ueda.
In 1954, our shoemaking began in a small workshop with two people.
For over half a century since then, we have supported the shoemaking of many women's shoe brands, both domestically and internationally.
What we have valued since our founding is "to honestly make good shoes."
Even after half a century, we still prioritize carefully crafting shoes that can be loved for a long time.
Also, at brightway, we procure materials produced in Japan as much as possible from producers whose faces we know.
Before starting production, we always visit the producers, listen to their thoughts, share our vision, and then value working together to create products.
Japanese materials and technology, to the next generation
The reason brightway insists on domestic materials —
It stems from our desire to once again deliver Japan's shoemaking culture and technology to the world.
Japan has a history of considerate spirit, meticulous craftsmanship, and community-rooted manufacturing.
We actively use materials made in Japan to protect and correctly convey that value.
While many factories have shifted production overseas, brightway chose to continue shoemaking here in Osaka.
This is to pass on the techniques and spirit that our predecessors have protected to the next generation.
Just like in Europe, where the philosophy and skills of artisans are passed from parent to child—
We aim to build such an ideal manufacturing utopia in Japan as well.
To create a pair that will be loved 10 years from now, and to be a brand that can be proud of 100 years from now.
